Our story
Rotaract Morimondo Abbazia was founded in April 2017 at the initiative of its sponsoring Rotary club. It is a group of young people united by the goal of serving others, in the belief that great achievements are only possible together. Among its projects: ‘Il Natale in Azione’, giving visibility to local work-inclusion organisations by selling their products in Christmas hampers, with proceeds funding Christmas gifts for children in paediatric wards; support, together with Rotary Morimondo Abbazia, for the Politecnico di Milano's production of ‘Polichina’ hand sanitiser gel; a charity dinner with entertainment provided by inmates of Opera prison, made possible by sponsorship from Scalo Milano; a sports-car ride for children from the CAF children's home in Rozzano; a water polo tournament whose proceeds went to the Centro Maria Letizia Verga for childhood cancer care; and a dog show whose proceeds went to the ‘Rescue Bau’ association for its ‘Mai più paura’ project supporting abandoned dogs.
